CONSPIRACY THEORY
August 6, 1997
LOS ANGELES (CNN) -- In his new movie, "Conspiracy Theory," Oscar-winning actor and director Mel Gibson doesn't play the dashing, sexy leading man nor the noble triumphant warrior.
Rather, he stars with Julia Roberts in a tale of a offbeat anti-hero, obsessed by conspiracy theory -- and obsessed with Roberts. "He's a total raving lunatic," Gibson said. "He's a stalker."
In a one-on-one interview with CNN's Laurin Sydney, Gibson discusses the role, his antics with Roberts on the set, and how he keeps himself grounded amidst the glitter and glamour of Hollywood.
