But while Gibson and his wife, Robyn, have seven children, his representative, Alan Nierob, said the actor does not have any grandchildren.
Nierob did not immediately know what Gibson's relationship was to the children who were confirmed.

Last Tuesday, Mel Gibson "performed" one of his famous tricks to escape from the Mexican reporters that besieged Archbishop Emeritus Carlos Quintero´s residence in Hermosillo.
According to www.expreso.com, Gibson disguised himself as an old gentleman. Mel, who wore a false beard and a wig, used the front door to leave the house while the press was waiting for him at the back door.
Bystanders and fans thought that the guy looked like Mel Gibson, so they came to the conclusion that the old gentleman was Mel Gibson's elder brother.
Gibson attended a religious service in which his daughter, Hannah, his son-in-law, and Maura's grandchildren were confirmed by Carlos Quintero Arce. So we have reached the end of this story. According to El Financiero, the acquisition of the property was registered on 30 April 2007. Gibson's new neighbours affirm that Mel has visited the place several times. In fact, he has landed there several times because Gibson always comes by helicopter.

IS this an anonymous face in the crowd, or is it really Australia's most successful actor-director in disguise, trying to keep a very low profile?
Hollywood star and producer Mel Gibson was visiting the Mexican state capital of Sonora for the Catholic confirmations of family members .
Mel arrived at the house of Archbishop of Hermosillo, Carlos Quintero Arce, with his sister, assistant, two priests, Hannah and Mr Wayne.
It's believed Gibson then left the house in disguise to avoid media at the entrance of the house.
Photographic agency Picture Media released several images of a man leaving the house they believed to be Gibson, disguised by make-up, white hair, beard and glasses.
Later, Gibson - who once starred in a movie called Forever Young - was seen dressed in normal attire.

Mel Gibson's Apocalypto took the top spot on the latest national DVD sales and rental charts Wednesday, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, which grossed $50.9 million in theaters last year, bumped Pan's Labyrinth to No. 2 on both the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart and Home Media Magazine's rental chart in the week ended May 27.
Apocalypto generated an estimated $6 million in rental revenue in its first week, while "Labyrinth" brought in $5.6 million to bring its two-week take to $12 million.
Letters From Iwo Jima, which earned $13.8 million in theaters, debuted at No. 3 on the sales chart and No. 4 on the rental chart with estimated rental revenue of $4.4 million. Epic Movie bowed at No. 4 on the sales chart and No. 3 on the rental chart with $5.4 million.

"My favorite movie this year was 'Apocalypto,' and I love Mel Gibson," West said. "Sometimes I feel a little like Mel Gibson. [People say to him,] 'OK, Mel Gibson, we know [your movie is] the best, but if you shut up, maybe we can give you an award.' I think that's how people feel about me sometimes: 'OK, [your album] was the best.'

The farm is in Playa Barrigona, close to Guanacaste, in the north of the country, about 300km from the capital city, San Jose. An area which apparently far from the chaos of tourism and surrounded by forests and beaches. It's still not clear what made the actor and director decide to make the huge purchase. The ranch was previously used to host residences and other tourism buildings. However, maybe in light of the little tourism in the area, the terrain was sold. The most probable scenario is that Gibson wanted to maintain the buildings intact to use them as sets in his future films. Meanwhile everyone seems happy with the arrival of the celebrity neighbour.
