Christopher Marquette, who most recently appeared in the gangster saga "Alpha Dog," has signed for the lead in "Infestation," a comedic horror described as "28 Days Later" meets "Shaun of the Dead."

28 APRIL 2007.- GIBSON VERY FOND OF COSTA RICA
Mel visited Costa Rica in 2004
|
During his day trip to Malpaís, Mel Gibson ate kidney beans and rice. José Alfaro, the owner of the small inn, was moved to tears when Mel Gibson showed his appreciation of the local cuisine . "I never imagined that Mel Gibson would choose kidney beans and rice from the menu."
The news spread like wildfire, and people ran to see the unusual tourist, who had been landed by helicopter and who was very fond of kidney beans and rice.
Although the locals affirn that Mel Gibson chatted with them for awhile, nobody knows why he decided to visit Malpaís. "Mr Gibson confessed that he was in love with Costa Rica.", they say. Good explanation! Mel Gibson visited Costa Rica in November 2004, then in December 2006. Last March, he and his son, Edward, spent a few days "touring" the country…there´s no doubt that Costa Rica fascinates him (and the kidney beans and rice too)!!!

1 MAY 2007.- NEW RUMOURS
- RUMOUR NUMBER 1.-MEL GIBSON is hoping to bring former Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt's life to the big screen. The movie mogul admits he has
always been fascinated by Holt's life and death and now he plans to make a
biopic about the man. He says, "In the 1960s, Harry went for a swim on Cheviot Beach
near his pad at Portsea in Victoria and never came back. That's not even half as
interesting as the life the man led."
Holt was presumed dead after disappearing in December 1967 - a year after becoming Australia's 17th Prime Minister.
- RUMOUR NUMBER 2.- MEL GIBSON and movie veteran James Garner are plotting a sequel for western comedy Maverick.
The odd couple teamed up with Jodie Foster for the 1994 movie and now they're thinking about re-teaming.
Gibson says, "There's talk of doing another Maverick.Garner and I have been looking at that for a while. It'd be fun to play that character again. I think audiences would probably like to see him again too. We really cooked the first time. We've got some great ideas--I think audiences will enjoy what we've got in mind. It won't be happening immediately,
but I dare say, it'll happen."
But Gibson insists he isn't planning to revisit any of his other past hits: "We've put Mad Max and Lethal Weapon behind us now. There's nowhere to move with
those characters. We were pushing it with the last ones."
- RUMOUR NUMBER 3 (And this one is our fav).- MEL GIBSON is thinking about reviving William Wallace.
"I think audiences would probably like to see him again too. I've got some great ideas - I think audiences will enjoy what I've got in mind. It won't be happening immediately, but I dare say, it'll happen."
WHY NOT???

When will we stop and look around
To see the utmost gift we all have
Been given the miracle of life
By a planet that never failed us
The Sun, that never stops rising
The Moon and the stars
That are always there for us
The oceans, seas and rivers
The nature, unconditionally producing
But we over and over again
Failed its expectations.
Failed the expectations of our universe
And its Creator.

Source:KBO.com
SANTA FE (AP) - Film superstar Mel Gibson met with Governor Richardson Wednesday at the Capitol to talk about movies.
Richardson spokesman Gilbert Gallegos says the celebrity and the governor chatted for about 20 minutes.
According to Gallegos, Richardson was open to meeting with film production executives because he's trying to attract more film projects to New Mexico.
Gibson's movie company, Icon Productions, produced a film that was shot in New Mexico in 2005. The state provided an interest-free loan for the producers of the film "Seraphim Falls."
Gibson was in the Santa Fe area for private business, according to Gallegos.
