According to elsalvador.com, Mel Gibson´s main interest is: INVESTING IN PROPERTIES IN PANAMA.
Gibson and his son Edward dined Sunday night with Ruben Blades, a tourism spokesman. The Panama Government is trying to attract new investors, and Gibson is one of them.

We don´t know what he´s doing there, but "La Prensa Libre Online" affirms that he drank Coca Cola Light and ate something called "puntas de lomito y Tibón", then he took a taxi and….???

According to MEL GIBSON, the followers of the theory "WE CAN SEE A NEW FILM ON THE HORIZON" win by scoring in the last minute.
Yesterday Gibson acknowledged that he was trying to find suitable locations for a new movie.
And the candidates are:
"Panic in the Streets" original tells the story of Clinton Reed, an officer of the U.S. Public Health Service (played by Richard Widmark) and a police captain (Paul Douglas) who have only a day or two in which to prevent an epidemic of pneumonic plague after Reed determines a waterfront homicide victim is an index case.

Vasco Núñez de Balboa (1475-January 15, 1519) was a Spanish explorer, governor, and conquistador. He travelled to the New World in 1500 and after some explorations settled on the island of Hispaniola. He founded the settlement of Santa María la Antigua del Darién in present-day Panama in 1510, the first permanent European settlement on the mainland of the Americas (a settlement by Alonso de Ojeda at San Sebastián de Urabá the previous year had already been abandoned). He crossed the Isthmus of Panama to the Pacific Ocean in 1513, becoming the first European to lead an expedition known to have seen or reached the Pacific from the New World.

Mel Gibson knows the old saying "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy", so from time to time he takes a rest to enjoy a succulent dinner with a bunch of friends.
Last Wednesday, Gibson and his friends visited the restaurant Chancay in Escazú where they shared the specialities of the house and spent a pleasant evening.
After signing some autographs to his fans, Gibson played a joke on the waiter by covering the guy's face with his hand when they tried to take a photo.

Mel Gibson is musing over the idea of turning his favourite holiday destination into a permanent home after confessing he could quit Hollywood for Costa Rica.
The actor/director, who made APOCALYPTO in Latin America and is reportedly making back-to-back films in Panama, admits he is interested in becoming a homeowner in Costa Rica.
He says, "I thought about it. Maybe I'll just come down here sometimes and spend my holidays."
Gibson has been enjoying a working holiday in Costa Rica, while scouting out new movie locations for his upcoming epic, a biopic of Spanish explorer VASCO NUNEZ DE BALBOA.

"Within just a few minutes came the sound of a chopper . Four men got out of the chopper and one by one, they made their way with their bags over to me. Having seen most of Gibson's movies I had no trouble determining which of the men was him even with his baseball cap and sun glasses. He was not as tall as I expected but everyone is made to look bigger in the movies.
The men introduced them selves by first names and we got in the suburban and headed over to the hotel. Mr. Gibson sat in the front seat and the others piled in the back. With the actor was his son Ed, a friend and fellow film director Sergio and Nader, a realtor from Costa Rica. After getting them into their rooms they asked If I would join them for lunch, so we went to the grill and ordered some burgers and kabobs.
They told me they had come on a whirlwind tour to see as much of Panama as possible, looking at real estate investments. It seems that Mel was not just a gambler in filmmaking, but a risk taker in real estate investments as well..."
"Our poker games usually consist of 6 to 8 guys getting together to play Texas holdem until 12 midnight or so. But I could tell this night was going to be different. The whole valley was abuzz with the rumor that the famous actor was visiting. By the time the wine event ended it was 9pm and we made our way up to the club lounge. There were the usual guys, Steve, Brad, Mark, Paul, me and these four new ones who were anything but regular. Ed, Nader and Mel sat down at the table while Sergio sat at the bar and watched us play. (I might add a this point the Gibson only drank coke the whole evening) It did not take long before more and more people began arriving to the club to watch us play. I mentioned to Mel that this was the first time any of our wives and friends came to watch us play poker. I jokingly wondered allowed if his presence had anything to do with it. As the game wore on the room filled even more as cell phones and cameras were taking pictures and the ladies were busy calling friends to tell them they were breathing the same air as Mel Gibson and that air was electric. In a few hours Mel was down about $80 and headed over to play pool in the corner with some of the guests…"

Richard Florczak, who cooks for Mel Gibosn's family, displays Malaysian Noodles With Chicken and Spinach, of the recipes from his own arsenal. In Tinseltown, if you have a private chef to look after your culinary needs, you've arrived.
Whether you want lunch and dinner on the table for the family five nights a week, or plan to entertain at a last-minute dinner party for 25, Richard Florczak can create it.
The private chef has worked for several Hollywood A-listers, including Jennifer Garner, but his gig for the last decade has been preparing meals for Mel Gibson and his family.
Every weekday at noon, you'll find Florczak driving across town from his home in Agoura Hills and stopping to pick up the highest-quality groceries. Shopping seasonally takes about 1 1/2 hours daily. He then heads to Gibson's home to starting cooking lunch and dinner, usually arriving around 1:30 p.m.
"Lunch is casual - sandwiches, salads, etc," says Florczak. At dinner, an entree, vegetables and salad are routine, along with dessert twice a week.
"I cook enough for nine or 10 people every day at dinner."
Usually by 7 p.m. he's finished his culinary magic for the day, served the
evening meal family style, cleaned up, left the kitchen spotless and is headed back home, unless he's cooking for an occasional special dinner party.
The work might sound glamorous (traveling is, but cleaning a stove isn't, he notes), but he's a one-man show with no assistants. However, he's not complaining.
"What's cool about my position here is that it's truly the kind of job that private chefs pray for. The boss always treats me with the utmost respect and they (the family) like
Florczak's Strawberry Cream Cheese Pizza everything (I cook)," says Florczak, adding that they don't eat high-end cooking every night.
"The most difficult part of the job is coming up with a different menu every day that appeals to adults and kids," says Florczak. "I take standard dishes and create a twist."
Food magazines and cookbooks often inspire him. Although he favors Asian cuisine, he cooks a wide range of creations, mostly without recipes. Taste and presentation are of the utmost importance.
On any given night, the family might be dining on Scorpion Rolls, Pan Seared Sea Bass With Black Bean Sauce, Malaysian Noodles With Chicken and Spinach, Grilled Filet Mignon With Horseradish Sauce, Blazing Shrimp With Cool Cilantro Sauce or Poached Asian Pears with Cinnamon Chopsticks.
On the weekends, the Gibsons are on their own. Florczak might leave some prepared food in the fridge or an array of ingredients handy so they can ad lib.
"My (cooking) motto is, I will cut a corner if it doesn't cut quality."
Although he has a bachelor's degree in film and made his way to California in 1985 to work in the "biz," it's in cooking that he's found his niche.
"One day while working a catering job, I heard another chef say that he was the personal chef to Amy Irving. It piqued my interest, so I picked his brain."
His first "real" private chef job was cooking lunch and a formal four-course dinner Monday through Friday for three years for a Los Angeles philanthropist and her husband. A two-year position with a jet-setting celebrity was next.
Burned out after the long and demanding hours, he planned to spend some time traveling. Then a friend said, "I work for Mel Gibson and he is looking for a chef - and the rest is history."
The job has afforded Florczak an opportunity to see the world. He cooked for Gibson on location in a house near Rome for six weeks. The chef went in advance to familiarize himself with the area and markets and took along his trusty knife bag, tool box and spice box. In his 18 years as a private chef, he's accompanied clients and cooked for them in South Carolina, Colorado, Hawaii, London and Paris.
"Being a private chef is not for everybody," he says, adding that if you have an ego, you'll have to leave it at the front door.
Florczak and his wife of 6 1/2 years, Heidi (her specialty is cheese melted on Triscuits in the microwave, he jokes), enjoy entertaining on weekends. With a pizza oven in their backyard, it's no surprise that pizza is Florczak's passion.
"It is the quinessential perfect food."
