2 OCTOBER 2005.-NEWS: APOCALYPTO
Definitely, Quintana Roo, Campeche and Veracruz are the "winners" and future sets of Apocalypto.
Three days ago Mel Gibson filmed some sceneries of these areas in order to begin the promotion of the film.
Cast: Mexican actor Miguel Angel Galvan, as a maya priest, and actor/model Mauricio Amuy, as a maya chief, have been recruited by Icon Productions.
According to local newspaper, Mr. Gibson read the 'Popol-Vuh', the holy book of the Mayans, in order to familiarize himself with this culture.

6 OCTOBER 2005.- POOR PATSY
First "Kisses and Kissers" and now "to be or not to be butt-naked"
British actress PATSY KENSIT has confessed that she was deeply disappointed by her steamy sex scene with MEL GIBSON in the 1989 sequel LETHAL WEAPON 2, as her co-star kept his manhood under wraps. The blonde beauty admits she had to strip completely for the sequence, but it was a different story for Gibson. She complains, "It was strapped down. When we did a love scene, I was butt-naked but he had his modesty pouch thing. So I didn't see it and I didn't look."

8 OCTOBER 2005.-PARKING
As we have nothing interesting to relate today, this piece of gossip will serve our purpose.
An australian local newspaper wonders whether Gibson is in Adelaide/Australia. The paper says that Mel Gibson is staying at his home in the Adelaide Hills and that he'll have to find a new place at the airport to park his private jet with the opening of a new terminal.
That´s the advantages of lacking a private jet, we don´t have to worry about parking it.

|
29 OCTOBER 2005.-PRESS CONFERENCE
|
The movie is scheduled to begin production Nov. 14 and will be shot almost entirely in the jungle of Mexico's Veracruz state.
The film's stars will be unrecognizable to most moviegoers, and they will speak in the Mayan tongue of Yucateco, Gibson said. It will be light on dialogue and heavy on images and action
Gibson said the story would be told through the eyes of a Mayan man, his family and village, and would touch on universal themes about "civilizations and what undermines them," but he declined to go into details about the plot.
He said Mayan myths from the Popol Vuh sacred texts formed part of his research for the film, which also drew on input from indigenous groups and Spanish mission texts from the 1700s and Mayan language translators.

1 NOVEMBER 2005.- MEL GIBSON RETIRES FROM ACTING AND CONTRACTS "THE MONTEZUMA´S REVENGE".
Mel Gibson retires from acting.
According to some local newspapers, last Friday during the press conference in Boca del Río, Mel Gibson announced that he would never star in a new film. "I ´ve been an actor for 30 years. Now I think that this phase of my life has come to an end. I prefer directing..."
He also said that he enjoyed directing because directing and producing were much funnier... and it was necessary to be a megalomaniac so he liked being at the helm.
Gibson has thousands of new projects on his mind. In the near future, he´ll try to make a movie in English.
The "retired" actor and Famous director also said that he had contracted the ancient affliction of interlopers in Mesoamerica, sometimes called Montezuma's revenge. "At this moment here in Mexico, my mouth likes the food but my stomach doesn't," Nothing serious. A nourishing "cocido" (a light spanish dish of boiled meat and vegetables) or "callos", a very digestive food, and DONE!

3 NOVEMBER 2005.- MONTEZUMA´S REVENGE AND MEL GIBSON
Some people have asked us about the Montezuma´s Revenge and its "rate of mortatlity". In order to fulfil the general interest, we´ve dome a thorough search and found the following useful information.
The Montezuma´s Revenge is the word used to describe any stomach or intestinal ailment experienced while on Mexican soil. The leading cause of discomfort, Escherichia coli, otherwise known as E. coli bacteria, can be injested in drink as well as food. While many attacks are blamed on unpurified water, just as many are caused by ineffectual food handling.
Episodes of MR begin abruptly, often without warning. They can occur during travel as well as after returning home and are not contagious. It's slightly more common in young adults rather than older people. The reason for this is unclear, but may be because of a lack of acquired immunity, more adventurous lifestyles, and different eating and drinking habits. Attack rates are similar in men and women. The most common day of onset is the third day after arrival in Mexico, but onset may occur at any time during the visit, and even after returning home.
The solution is very easy: let MR take its course so that you develop an immunity.
The mortality rate is LOW, VERY LOW. Two persons in five hundred years. The first was kicked by a horse after recovering from the illness and the second was killed by her lover during the period of convalescence. So CHEER UP!. Be sure that we´re going to enjoy Mr. Gibson´s company next century too.

11 NOVEMBER 2005.- ACTORS, ACTRESSES AND RUMOURS
- Oscar-winner Anjelica Huston will join Pierce Brosnan and fellow Irishman Liam Neeson in the period drama "Seraphim," to be produced by Mel Gibson.
The film will begin shooting next week in Mexico.
- The mexican actor, Joaquin Cosío, will star in "Apocalypto". By the way, Mel Gibson and his team will begin shooting the film next Monday (Nov.14) in Los Tuxtlas.
Gibson’s press conference skimped on the story details so all sort of rumours are going round the Web.
Some rumors have started that the film will concern Mayan calendar predictions of what is called the “Fin de los Tiempos” (End of Time), when the sun and the center of the Milky Way Galaxy will be astronomically aligned. This disturbing prophecy predicts that our world will end in fire in 2012 and be reborn in a different, more evolved form.
- "Lucius Malfoy", where have we seen him before?. Before appearing in “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” as Draco’s father, Jason Isaacs was seen opposite Mel Gibson in 2000’s “The Patriot” as the “brutal” Colonel Tavington. Jason has a real vocation for playing the villain.

20 NOVEMBER 2005.- ICON PRODUCTIONS SUES CLEANFLICKS.
Mel Gibson's company Icon Productions has made a legal claim against CleanFlicks for messing with Passion of the Christ. For the last six years, Ray Lines´s company has been editing the nudity, violence, and language out of films. On this occasion Ray took out three minutes of The Passion of The Christ. According to the lawsuit, what CleanFlicks did was copyright infringement, but Ray believes he has the right to CENSOR movies. Why rate a film showing who may see it?. They could give Mr. Ray a pair of scissors and done!.
