23 JUNE 2005.-ZACK SINCLAIR JAILED FOR THREE YEARS.

Zack Sinclair who stalked Mel Gibson and his family in a desperate bid to pray with the Hollywood superstar was jailed for three years.
Judge John Fisher, sitting in the Los Angeles area of Van Nuys, sentenced Sinclair, 35, to the stretch behind bars after a jury in March convicted him of stalking the actor-director and his family last year.
Gibson did not attend the hearing at which the judge said he would follow prosecutors' recommendations and ask that Sinclair be confined to a secure psychiatric treatment facility.
Deputy District Attorney Debra Archuleta told the judge at an earlier hearing that it was "not appropriate" for Sinclair to be placed with the general prison population.
During his four-day trial, prosecutors told jurors that Sinclair thought he was on a mission from God to pray with the devoutly Catholic Gibson at his estate in the plush Los Angeles coastal district of Malibu.
Sinclair was charged with stalking and brought to trial after a court restraining order and an earlier arrest failed to stop him from turning up at Gibson's home four times and at his church once.
The Australian-US maker of last year's religious hit "The Passion of the Christ" and the star of films such as "Lethal Weapon" and "Mad Max," told the court that Sinclair had frightened his family.

27 JUNE 2005.- CRIMINAL OR VICTIM?.

We´ve found this text written by a person who met Zack Sinclair last September. We´ve thought you´d like to read some paragraphs.

***If memory serves me, Zack Sinclair and I shared time together in early September 2004. Zack and I met in Los Angeles. I forget who spoke first. I think he did - wanting to know the fares and how often the buses come and go. He was concerned that he had enough money to make it to Santa Monica - to the beach - which is where he planned to spend the night.
I was surprised by both the question and his hint at homelessness. Zack was about as clean cut as anyone you might see walking the streets of any city. He was dressed as if he had just come from an office job, with a clean, light colored shirt and slacks. But he carried a well stuffed, military style duffle bag., He said he had been in Iraq during the Gulf War
I asked if he was in town looking for work, if he was in the industry - meaning the film and television industry. I wondered if he was an actor. sleeping out on a clear night under the stars, or in their car, while waiting for their ship to come in. No, he explained, he was not in the industry but here to visit a friend, Mel Gibson.
I was surprised by his response. But lots of folks in the area know lots of famous people, so I reserved judgment. "Why don't you ask Mel to put you up for a few days," I asked. "It's rather complicated," he explained. "Mel's a very, very intense guy."
"I loved his The Passion," I confided, " and of course, Braveheart - What a classic! Have you seen Gibson's Conspiracy Theory? It's one of my favorites. Mel plays a cab driver who's stalking this woman, Julia Roberts. You think he's a nut-case but he's really not --." No, it was The Passion of the Christ that drew Zack to Mel.
"Do you have children?" I asked. No, but he wished he did, he said muttering something about having trouble with women or being in trouble with a woman. Then we headed for the long couch-like seat at the back of the bus. We sat together and continued talking as he swung his duffle bag out in front of him. "Where are you from?" I asked.
"Idaho," he said, introducing himself. "Mormon country," I commented. Yes, but he was not a Mormon, merely a Christian.
As we got up for the next stop, I wished Zack well and hoped his visit with Mel was everything he hoped it would be - though I had a fleeting thought that perhaps he wasn't as close to Mel as he imagined. I believe Zack's parting words, though I wouldn't swear to it, were that that he and Mel were going to pray together. It made sense to me.***
Zack Sinclair wrote twelve letters to Mel Gibson. Then he turned up at Gibson's home four times and at his church once. Zack was a man on a mission. He wanted to pray with Mel Gibson.
Has the sentence been too hard?. Is Sinclair a criminal or just a poor fellow who needs psychiatric treatment?....

6 JULY 2005.- PASSION OF THE CHRIST SYMPHONY PREMIERE IN ROME

A new symphony by John Debney based on his score for the film The Passion of the Christ gets its world premiere from the Santa Cecilia Orchestra in Rome tonight.
The symphony makes use of a standard orchestra and choir, and features vocal soloists as well as the duduk, an ancient Armenian wind instrument; bamboo flute; and Japanese taiko drums. It includes a prologue set in the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus was betrayed and arrested; seven movements corresponding to the seven Stations of the Cross; and a Resurrection Epilogue.
"My symphony expresses the Passion in an emotional and spiritually uplifting way," Debney said in a statement. "It is intended as a work of deep faith for Christians as well as people of all faiths to help foster a turning back to God." After the premiere at Rome's Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Columbia Artists Management will produce a worldwide tour; dates and cities have not yet been announced. Organizers also hope that the work will become a regular feature of Easter-season performances.
The Passion of the Christ, directed, produced, and co-written by actor and director Mel Gibson, was released in March 2004 and became a massive worldwide hit; it was both praised and condemned for its explicit depiction of Christ's suffering on the cross.
There is a precedent for the successful conversion of a film score into concert music: The Lord of the Rings Symphony, based on the Howard Shore score for the three films, has sold out dozens of performances around the world.

10 JULY 2005.-MAD MAX WITHOUT MEL GIBSON

Director George Miller's plans for a fourth Mad Max film hit a brick wall when the war came along: "The American dollar crashed and it was almost impossible to ship vehicles to our location. We had a deadline, and we couldn't meet it."
The filmmaker tells Australia's Empire Magazine that even though the film's production offices (at Sydney's Fox Studios) have been vacated, and Mel Gibson is no longer attached, he still hopes to make the fourth film.
"The last thing I wanted to do is another Mad Max, but this came along, and I'm completely carried away with it," Miller told Empire Magazine. Miller still hopes to return to the project after his next film, Happy Feet, is finished.

11 JULY 2005.- DIFFUSED BUT UNCONFUSED SIGNS

Since last June our team of Investigation is compiling information about a funny and surprising story.
We´re trying to corroborate the authenticity of the facts and the identity of related persons.
Just WAIT...

12 JULY 2005.- MEL GIBSON PAYS A 300 EUROS FINE.

No, we´re not mad. This funny news was published by a local magazine last June. Mel, a terrier, is spending his holiday with his "parents and brothers", the Gibson family. Though, this Mel Gibson has the annoying habit of leaving his "personal things" everywhere.

12 JULY 2005.- MEL´S SMILE

Do you want the smile of Mel Gibson?
Well, Dr Marc Liechtung.can help you.
A semi-permanent prosthesis - known as "snap-in veneers" - has become available. Made of resin, the veneers are placed over patients' teeth, allowing them to flash teeth like those of their favourite actor or actress.
Whether it's the smile of Cameron Diaz or of Britney Spears that is reproduced, the cosmetic lift can be put on and taken off in the blink of an eye ... all at a price of $1 500) to $1 800), says Dr Marc Liechtung.
He also sells the "Halle" (Berry), the "George" (Clooney), and the "Mel" (Gibson) - all available in five sizes and five shades.
Isn´t it fantastic?

17 JULY 2005.- GOOD CAUSES.

These days, it's hard to turn on a TV or open a magazine without finding some celebrity discussing a cause or crusade.
Some do it for very personal reasons. After Katie Couric's husband died of colon cancer, she co-founded the National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance. Michael J. Fox, who has Parkinson's disease, formed the Foundation for Parkinson's Research and testified before Congress. And Christopher Reeve, paralyzed in a horse-riding accident, worked tirelessly to spark research into repairing spinal-cord injuries.
Some celebrities and public figures do it for the money : Bod Dole, Debby Reynolds, Lynda Carter, Rob Lowe... But Sting, Paul Newman, Halle Berry and hordes more are using their fame to spread the word, raise money, heal the sick, feed the children, save women, change the world.
They donate their time, make appearances, give speeches and slip a quote or two about their causes into interviews about their movies, music and TV shows.
Many stars don't just lend their names and faces to a cause. They open their wallets. Since 2000, Mel Gibson has donated $27 million to two hospitals in Los Angeles and a non-profit that help kids with medical conditions.
And then there are the quiet. Drew Carey doesn't seek publicity when he works with kids from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. You have to grill Teri Hatcher before she'll discuss the ways she helps a shelter for abused teen girls.
One thing is clear: There are thousands of good causes. Just select one and, please, HELP.

19 JULY 2005.- NEW FILM: THE CONQUEST OF MEXICO!!!!

Mel Gibson and Icon Productions are recruiting well-qualified actors/actresses to their new film based on the conquest of Mexico.
Icon Productions has tried to engage Manuel Ojeda to participate in the project, but the actor has refused the offer.
Ojeda is going to star in "Alborada", a TV serial by Carla Estrada.

22 JULY 2005.- "APOCALYPTO" WILL BE DIRECTED BY MEL GIBSON

According to The Guardian Unlimited, Mel Gibson is returning to his action roots with Apocalypto, a follow up to global smash The Passion of the Christ, which will be set in an ancient civilization.
The Australian superstar will write and direct but not star in the film, which reportedly includes substantial violence but no religious theme.
Story details remain under wraps, however Gibson has already begun preproduction and has chosen a number of locations ahead of an expected summer 2006 release.
Disney will release the picture in North America, while Gibson, arguably the shrewdest actor-turned-producer in the business, holds on to the highly lucrative international rights through his company Icon.
Variety reports that under the terms of the deal, Gibson will finance the project and Disney will distribute for a fee, rather like the deal he struck with US company Newmarket Films for The Passion of the Christ, which sold more than $600m (£341.7m) in tickets worldwide to become the most successful independent film of all time.

23 JULY 2005.- "APOCALYPTO" II

Apocalypto is the title of Gibson's next self-financed epic, Daily Variety reported Friday. Shooting is scheduled to begin in October, and a summer 2006 release is planned.
The film is described as an action picture, set 3,000 years in the past. Details otherwise are sketchy, and that's the way Gibson apparently wants it. According to Variety, the star requested studio execs read the script at his offices, less any pages get leaked.
As Gibson did on Passion, the Oscar-winning is directing, writing and producing, but not starring. Also as was done on Passion, his Icon Productions is footing the bill.
Apocalypto is a Greek term meaning unveiling. Gibson's Apocalypto is "not religious in theme."
VERACRUZ, VERACRUZ...

25 JULY 2005.- APOCALYPTO

Apocalypto is shouded in mystery.
According to Variety, production chiefs from selected studios had to visit Icon Prods. headquarters in order to read the script, whose first page says:
"The dialogue you are about to read will not be spoken in English."
Gibson, who last made the most successful Aramaic-language film ever, is at it again.
"Apocalypto", set 500 years ago, will be filmed in an obscure Mayan dialect, presumably with the same kind of subtitles Gibson reluctantly added to "The Passion of the Christ." The film's cast will consist of unknown performers native to the region of Mexico where Gibson will shoot in October. And it likely will carry an R rating, unless Gibson tempers the onscreen depiction of violent scenes he wrote in his script.
Few others details about Gibson's project were revealed.
"He lets his work speak for itself," Alan Nierob said.
Since Gibson's bankrolling his pic and will sell foreign himself, studios were offered only a rent-a-system deal, such as George Lucas had with 20th Century Fox for his last three "Star Wars" films
Even though studios including Paramount and Universal walked away from "Apocalypto" either for creative reasons or because Gibson's asking price of a high P&A commitment was too high, Disney's agreement to step up shows how much things have changed for Gibson since he struggled to get backing for "Braveheart".and makes laughable last year's prediction by the New York Times that Gibson would be blackballed by Jewish executives after the "Passion" controversy.
That charge never really had much traction, said sources within Gibson's agency, ICM. There was a post-"Passion" pile of scripts with $20 million-plus offers for Gibson's acting services. While that paper piled up on ICM co-prexy Ed Limato's desk, Gibson was accumulating pages of his own, scribbling "Apocalypto" in his office and becoming so passionate about it that he changed his plans to star in the Icon-produced drama "Under and Alone" for Warner Bros.
There is talk that Disney will program "Apocalypto" against the Warner Bros. film "Lady in the Water,", directed by M. Night Shyamalan
Dick Cook, chairman of the Walt Disney Studios, said he was confident "Apocalypto" fits the summer bill.
"We couldn't be more excited about working again with Mel and his team. This is one of the most original and unique scripts we've had the opportunity to read recently, and we plan for this to be an anchor of our summer schedule.", said Cook

THIS INFORMATION HAS BEEN SENT BY DAVID (Australia), THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

28 JULY 2005.- APOCALYPTO, IT IS SAID

It is said that Gibson began writing Apocalypto nine months ago. NINE MONTHS??? So we can say that MR. GIBSON HAS GIVEN BIRTH TO A FINE HEALTHY BABY CALLED "APOCALYPTO".
It is said that Gibson presumably will have the script translated into Mayan by a scholar of the language and release the film with English subtitles.

31 JULY 2005.-BRAVEHEART HELPED SCOTLAND INDEPENDENT MOVEMENT

"BRAVEHEART" helped Scotland´s Independent movement, according to a new book written by Lin Anderson and based on hundreds of thousands of people's reactions to the film Braveheart.
Lis Anderson argued in "Braveheart: From Hollywood To Holyrood" that Gibson´s film brought William Wallace to global attention and swelled a tide of opinion which led to the 1997 vote for a new Scottish parliament.
In her book Lin claims "Braveheart impacted on Scotland and the world with a force as mysterious and contentious as Wallace himself. For Scots it reminded them of what they once were, what they are now and what they yet might be. To the world it gave back the hero, once upheld as the first freedom-fighter."
The book, which Anderson said has been written with "the blessing" of the Braveheart screenplay writer Randall Wallace, includes extracts from his original script as well as quotations from his speeches at a Braveheart convention in 1997.
Braveheart: From Hollywood To Holyrood will be launched next month.

5 AUGUST 2005.-GIBSON WILL RECREATE THE PASSION ON THE STREETS.

Hollywood actor-director Mel Gibson has been asked to recreate the final journey of Christ in the streets of Sydney if the Pope visits the city in 2008.
Gibson's staging the Stations of the Cross is part of Sydney's pitch for Catholicism's World Youth Day, This event is expected to attract an estimated 400,000 young Catholics from 160 countries.
Pope Benedict XVI will announce the Youth Day city for 2008 on August 21 in Cologne.
The Archbishop of Sydney, Cardinal George Pell, has confirmed that intermediaries have "started approaches" to Gibson.
The crucifixion reenactment -- similar to scenes from Gibson's hugely successful film "The Passion of the Christ" - would begin with the Last Supper, probably at the Opera House at sunset, and end with the Crucifixion at St Mary's Cathedral.
