FROM GINA ROSSI
Mel Gibson should be commended for his successes both on the screen and off, personal and professional. He has been able to survive in a very pretentious business and remain a humble, respectable family man true to his convictions. I can't wait to see his latest film "The Passion." The controversy over this film is blessed with free publicity. I, too, have written a screenplay about my own religious beliefs which I hope to see on screen someday.
I hope to meet Mr. Gibson. He is an inspiration of realism.
Rock on, Mel. Don't ever sell out.

FROM ANDREA G.
If I could speak to Mel directly I would say thank you. Thank you for inspiring America to push into the unknown to find thruth.
Thank you for having the courage to go against the tide.
Thank you for standing up for righteousness.
Thank you for putting your money where it matters.
Thank you for your commitment to your faith.
Thank you for your diligence and obedience to God´s call in your life.
Mel reminds me of two great christians and friends, one is a prophet named Kim Clement and the other is Mel Ayers from the Hollywood area that is a pastor of "in his presence church". Mel looks like them and has a similar spirit.
Mel came to my church last week at calvary assembly in Winter Park and was very humble and sincere. I saw God´s hand and anointing all over him.
The movie The Passion did nor seem antisemitic, but it will convict the jews and others that they missed knowing who Jesus was and is.. The movie was very convicting, which can make someone unconfortable. I felt like I had been to a close family member funeral. My insides were weeping for 2 days afterwards, like a woman in travail. It had a major impact on me and changed me. It woke me up to the price Jesus paid to be in God´s will, to give us redemption. I was much more grateful towards God. I have been a christian for 20 years and it took me a level deeper and higher in God.
I pray they will be more movies like this. I loved Braveheart and realized that God´s hand was on Mel after seeing that. The Passion confirms this too. I pray blessings and prosperity and favor for Mel. May Hollywood learn from Mel what the world needs from them.

FROM LETICIA CON "c"
I wonder whether people think that Mel is leading a campaign against the unbelievers.
Gibson is a film director, not "the last crusader". Thank God!

FROM JIM ROSEMEYER
Mel,
I am a theatre owner, a Catholic and very active in my local church. There are two theatres in our town. My theatre is 3 years old, stadium seating and has a wonderful staff. The other theatre in our town is getting your movie…The Passion because of the relationship between the distributor and the booking agent. They received the last big film independent film as well….Big Fat Greek Wedding. I am extremely disappointed about losing your film for that reason, and a little sheepish to write on this web site just hoping that this will somehow reach you. From a business point of view, we consistently out-gross our competitor, but the 'politics' of distribution often precludes us from showing a film.
I would like to present this film in my theatre because it is an opportunity to express something that really matters…
I guess that is what I am trying to say.
Can you help me?

GIBSON TO DELETE A SCENE IN PASSION (February 4, 2004)
February 4, 2004
Letters to the Editor
The New York Times
229 West 43rd Street
New York, NY 10036
To the Editor,
In Sharon Waxman's article: "Gibson to Delete a Scene in 'Passion'
(February 4, 2004)" Mr. Foxman's assertion that Mr. Gibson "doesn't
begin to understand the difference between dying in a famine and people
being cremated solely for what they are" is the most insensitive,
inflammatory and racist comment I have encountered about the
Famine-Genocide in Ukraine during the last century. It is particularly
offensive, as I am the son of a Famine survivor.
Historians and researchers at the Kiev Memorial Society have concluded
that the Famine (Holodomor in Ukrainian) was an engineered genocide.
It was a policy of deliberate starvation designed to exterminate
Ukrainian farmers and small land owners who resisted collectivization
resulting in the death of over seven million Ukrainian men, women and
children. The Famine-Genocide, unlike a gas chamber, could not be
turned on and off. Indeed, it spanned decades - starting in the 1920s
and finally ending in the 1940s.
Ukrainians were systematically starved to death precisely because of
who they are. I grew up knowing that Communists murdered my
grandfather and my uncles. By the grace of God, my father survived, yet
to this day lives with the daily suffering of survivor syndrome.
There is no difference between dying from starvation and cremation
except sadly, that the relief brought by death came quicker to those
who were cremated than to those who were starved. Despite Mr. Foxman's
overt denial of the suffering of millions of Ukrainians I will heed the
advice of Mr. Gibson and follow the path of "love for each other
despite our differences."

Hi,
Would you know of an e-mail address that would go directly to Icon
productions or some other address where Mel Gibson could be reached? I
really want to send a letter of support to him, regarding his upcoming
film, The Passion. Any help you could give would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Ladies and gentlemen,
We´ve read that Mr. Gibson speaks Spanish so, from now on, we´re not going to translate the messages from Spanish to English so that he can improve his knowledge of this language.

FROM R. MIRALLES
"The Passion of the Christ" and things that matter.
"Mr Gibson puts his money where it matters"
The Pope, Arcbishop Stanislav Dziwic and the Vatican officials have put their lives where it matters, e.g. the defence of the peace.
Some people are accusing the Vatican of taking part in a conspiracy to discredit Mel Gibson and "The Passion of the Christ" because they have not expressed their opinion about this film.publicly.
Lies, insults, accusations, absurd conspiracy theories...Maybe the controversy over "The Passion" is blessed with free publicity, but it sucks.
I think that this *free publicity campaign* is far from Jesus´s message. Where is "LOVE and FORGIVENESS"? I can´t see them anywhere.
