THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST
Mel, thanks to you and New Market Films for doing this movie. I know all will be touched by it. Looking forward to 2/25 and it's release.
P.S., I'm not impressed with Icon's website (if I clicked on the correct one) and it's level of provocativeness http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST
Hello,
I know that there has been a lot of controversy over Mel Gibson's movie The Passion of Christ. I cannot believe that a man with his passion to use his talents to make this movie about Jesus Christ is being so picked apart and made into a huge ordeal.
People who are offended about who put Jesus on the Cross should know that we all put him on the Cross. Our sins put him on that cross. So whether Jews or Romans physically put him there it does not matter. We all are guilty and fall short of the glory of GOD and that is why he died and took our place on that cross. So people making such a controversy over who put him there are missing the main focus; it is not about that nor us it's about HIM and what he did for us!
I am very grateful for Mel Gibson's vision of making this movie about Jesus Christ. I hope one lesson that Mel learns from this ordeal is, at the end of the day it does not matter what man thinks it's what Jesus thinks. It's him you want to please and hear " well done my child". HE is smiling upon Mel and will bless him for sharing this wonderful movie with the world!
GOD BLESS

FROM KATHLEEN PEPIOT
Dear Mr. Gibson:
I want to tell you that I think you are brave. I know you have put a great deal on the line to make and distribute "The Passion" and I respect your courage. As a true believer I fully anticipate this will be a very difficult film for me to watch. But I will be there, February 25th, tissues in hand, ready to be moved and (I'm sure) astounded by the most profound story in all of history. I cried for a half hour after "Braveheart" so I suppose I had better bring a whole box.
How wonderful of you to share the story of our Savior's great sacrifice with all the world. I believe you will inspire faith with this project, not ignorance and hatred. Please be patient with those who may criticize you. Their opposition comes from fear. By the Grace of the Holy Spirit that fear will be unfounded.
Thank you so much for entertaining my over the years; making me laugh and cry, giving me great inspiration, touching my heart and soon, I think, my soul. You have a great gift for storytelling and you have given us beautiful, memorable images on the silver screen. May God continue blessing you and your family.
Respectfully and very sincerely,
Kathleen Pepiot

FROM SANDRA KELSAY
: The Passion of The Christ
Perhaps if people were reminded of Jesus's own words (St. John Chapter 10:17-18) prior to watching the movie they wouldn't be so quick to say anyone is accusing anybody of Killing Christ.
Joh 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. Joh 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
It's clear Jesus gave his life for the sins of humanity--it was not taken from him. For anyone who has seen the film can they honestly say that it depicts anything more than the sequence of events and how other characters in the story reacted to those events?.

FROM SUSAN AND PETE DANDREA
Having always been a fan of Mel Gibson, I will have to boycott his films from now on.
Shame on him for stirring up anti-Semitism in "The Passion of Christ". Isn't there already enough hate in this world?

FROM GUILLAUME DE LA ROCHE SAINT PIERRE
Gentlemen,
I am Frenchman living in between Paris and Vendée who has had the great priviledge to be working with a superb writer who has, in my opinion worked for the past three years on a remarkable script (3 hrs and 5 minutes) based on the biography of Joan of Arc by Canon Henri Debout (1922), France's foremost expert on the Maid of Lorraine (said script is available in an impeccable English version ). This said, We are trying to submit said script to Mr. Gibson and possibly to organize a meeting with him at the location of his convenience.
If at all possible we would be ever so grateful if you could be kind enough as to assist us in this endeavor. Thanking you in advance,
I remain sincerely yours,
Baron Guillaume de la Roche Saint Pierre

FROM JOE
This is a long shot but I would like to inform Mel Gibson about an absolutely amazing story that he could make the subject of his next film. I understand he wants to do one more film and that he wants it to be on the Eucharist. I hope that he looks into doing it on Saint Maria Faustina of the "Blessed Sacrament."
She was the first saint of the millennium and The Divine Mercy Chaplet she promulgated is second only to the rosary in catholic devotion. Her story is amazing as is the behind the scenes story of the family (I married into) which worked so diligently on the 2nd miracle that led to her sainthood. I am nothing but an astonished observer. If it's met to be, the story will be told.

FROM LANA CROOKER
I just wanted to let Mel know how much he imprerssed me when I saw him being interviewed on the Catholic Channel last night. His passion for his movie "The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ " was very moving. I pray that the movie will lead many to Our Lord and I just wanted to thank Mel for following His lead to make this movie. May God bless and keep you.

p.s. I went to the website and have printed up a petition that I hope to get our church members to sign. Thanks again. Will be a supporter of your work from this day forth. Lana

Dear Sirs,
I am Campus Minister at one St. Louis' largest colleges. Like many other Christians I await the release of the movie "The Passion of the Christ." Having read many reviews I am quite impressed, and inspired as to what this film may effect concerning an accurate depiction of the passion of the Lord and conviction to receive him as saviour.
Please advise me on how to go about showing this movie at our campus, and what would be involved . . . you may email me in response. I eagerly await your answer.
Thank you,
Sincerely
