Mel Gibson can be proud of The Passion. He has made a great film. People working at the studios are always afraid of what´s different. They are narrow-mimded, so they didn´t want to support his project but he fought hard to make it on his own and he succeeded. I think this success has kind of embarrassed the industry and shown them that they need to trust him.
